Move the mouse pointer to any protocol field and press the left mouse button.

SNAP was appended to LLC because the upper layer protocol identification via SAPs was insufficient. The SNAP 'type' field values are the same used by Ethernet II ('EtherType'). In case SNAP is used, it follows immediately the LLC header. LLC's SAPs (both DSAP and SSAP) are set to AAh (with control field set to 03h = LLC-UI) to identify the SNAP appendage.

SNAP is used by DoD IP, 3COM (3+,3+Open), AppleTalk and other protocols.
