ATM PCI (Cell Layer)
Move the mouse pointer to any protocol field and press the left mouse button.
The ATM cell format depends on the used interface protocol:
UNI = User-Network Interface
NNI = Network-Network Interface
The UNI exists between ATM DTE and ATM network access node. The ATM traffic contract is negotiated at via UNI protocol.
The NNI exists between ATM network nodes (switches, cross connects). The NNI protocol is used for ATM signalling inside the ATM network.
The payload field contains additional control data depending on the AAL protocol:
AAL 1 = Vioce
AAL 2 = Video
AAL 5 = Data (formerly: AAL 3/4)
