Phase 4: Address verification

The adapter sends duplicate address test (DAT) MAC frames.

If the adapter receives at least two DAT frames in sequence with AC=11 it assumes that another station already uses the same MAC address (duplicate MAC address); this will cause the new adapter to get off the ring.

If the adapter receives at least two DAT frames in sequence with AC=00 it assumes that no other station uses its MAC address.
