Protocol: FDDI - SMT Header FDDI SMT PCI

Field: frame type

Length: 1 byte

Contents: announcement, request, response.

There are three SMT frame types:

> 0x01 - Announcement / Bekanntmachungen.

> 0x02 - Request / Anfragen.

> 0x03 - Response / Antworten.

All frame type are only addressed to the peer SMT instance, not to any upper layer protocol.
