Packet Exchange Protocol (Xerox)

Move the mouse pointer to any protocol field and press the left mouse button.

PEP was developed by Xerox as part of the XNS pro tocol suite; it has been adopted by various other manufacuters.

PIP is a connectionless transport protocol (similar to DoD UDP); connection-oriented services are provided by SPP.
