Contents: BPDU age.

Indicates the BPDU's age, that is: the time needed by the frame from being sent by the root bridge and being received by any other bridge.

This field contains the estimated time, in 1/256ths of a second, since the root originally transmitted its confirmation message, upon which the information in this configuration message is based.
