Station Initialization Process

A new ring station passes the following phases during insertion process (sometimes described in four phases):

Phase 1: Set adapter defaults

Phase 2: Lobe media check

Phase 3: Monitor check

Phase 4: Address verification

Phase 5: Participate in Ring Poll

Phase 6: Request initialization
